INCREASE RESPONSE WITH COMPELLING COUPONS
When it comes to coupons, there's no need to
think up clever headlines or write flowery introductions. Those
dotted lines clearly say - "Here's a special offer."
In fact, you'll generate more responses by
keeping the information inside the coupon as simple and straightforward
as possible. Make the offer easy to understand and include an
expiration date to entice your customers to act fast. Don't forget
important qualifiers (for example, "Sale items not included"
or "Dine-in orders only"). Repeat your company name,
address and telephone number in the coupon so customers remember
where to redeem it once it's separated from the promotional piece.
Save your sales message for the actual ad,
flyer or brochure and don't repeat the coupon offer in that space.
Count on the coupon to draw attention to the rest of the message.
Even with a small ad or flyer, allow a few lines of text outside
the coupon border to make it clear that you have more to offer
than temporary savings. Let your customers know why they should
keep coming back long after the coupon expires.
